Long-lost

Only love can bring my long-lost brother Andrew back home.

See how happy everyone is. So the romantic story continues...

Hydroponics

I don't really like building things, but somehow those things I want are either hard to find or not on market. I need a small hydroponics system for growing herbs in kitchen. Those commercial systems are way too big.

Hydroponics in short is growing without soil. Plants grow by hydroponics are faster and easier to maintain. Basically, the roots are flushed by water with nutrients at intervals, therefore, plants don't need to waste energy in developing their root system for searching water source. Moreover, you don't need to worry about watering too much or too less. Excess water will drain back to the system for the next watering cycle. Roots therefore enjoy more oxygen and are more healthy and the plants grow up to 5 times faster. I guess you can grow most plants this way problem-free.

Here is the system I made for my herbs. The water pump will pump water to the roots for 15mins every 1 hour. Excess water will drip back to the bottom of the container.

I hope the photos below can explain themselves well.

Materials bought from $10 shop, HK$30 in total.

You need potting materials that won't hold water.

Book promotion

A new way of book promotion.

There was once a Japanese who had been setting up roadside kiosk at different parts of Tokyo city, putting up a sign "Free-talking" everyday for 3 years. Many people queued every night just to express, love, career, family or anything. That Japanese listener finally decided to compile those stories into a book and get it published.

To promote this book in Hong Kong, ex-Commercial Radio 2 DJ Cheng Ka Fai copied the author's way, listening to people who would like to share their stories.

Being stared like an animal at zoo and questioned by policeman. I am impressed by Cheng's professionalism. :)

Camouflage

My car was stopped in front of a red light. Perhaps this little bug thought I couldn't see it.
