Star

I used to be his fan, I like his stage performance very much.

I guess no singer in Hong Kong can dance better than he does. Don't shake your head, I think he sings pretty well also. You can tell easily from his performance the difference between a star and a singer.

It is no pure luck, I can see he worked very hard.

Thanks for whoever gave me the free tickets!

Mounted

I squeezed some time to mount my Haha bridge to the violin.

It took me more than an hour to make the feet fit the curvature of the violin.

My violin now looks so happy! Sound-wise, the wood of my bridge is too soft. It doesn't sound as good as the conventional one.

Thanks Yama for his help!

A religious body (Christianity) offers free haircut at Mong Kok.

Many people dare to try.

Be prepared someone will preach in front of you while enjoying your free haircut!

Staircase

The lights made this hi-tech building more friendly.

It is very smart to put coloured lights to the staircase.

Taste

Sarah Chang should be one of the top ten violinists of her generation.

I don't know why even Sarah cannot fill the already smaller HK City Hall concert hall. What HK audience wants?

She played Shostakovich violin concert no.1. Sarah delivered a world-class performance with her impeccable techniques. However, just like her CDs, I can't feel her music. It is really a matter of taste.

Thanks LKF for the ticket.

Sea cucumber fight

My favorite activity on Guam is sea cucumber fight. The sea is full of sea cucumbers. There are two types, healthy ones and decomposed ones.

Healthy sea cucumbers. Good for long distance attack.

Decomposed sea cucumbers. Very gross! Suitable for close range fatal attack.

Talent

I heard so many violinists live, Mengla Huang is the only one who can make me speechless so far. He was the Paganini Violin Competition 2002 gold medal winner. Don't miss his coming CD though I am tired of showpieces.

Many people said he isn't talented, he is being trained instead. I can't agree with those people, I have ears!
