Nubians

Nubia is located in today's southern Egypt and northern Sudan. Nubians have curly hair and thick lips.

Bring something to the kids if you have a chance to visit them. They like pens and biscuits. :)

over the desert.

Can you touch the sun?

Sphinx

The head of the Sphinx is a bit worn. Its nose was the unfortunate victim of target practice by the Turks during the Turkish period.

Colors

I was amazed by the colors of those Egyptians' constructions.

Bear in mind, they are already of 4000 yrs old.

Hurghada

With it's crystal clear water and untouched reefs, Hurghada is a world renowned diving site.

Other than diving, Hurghada is a best place for relaxation. Nice, people and hotels. The bazaar there is fun too.

I took some underwater photos and videos this time using a Minolta Xt and its underwater housing.

The Red Sea

The diving center that I joined. I like their logo very much.

Fully loaded.

Egypt

It was a rush, I should left a message here before heading to Egypt.

Though there are some Internet cafes in Egypt, I didn't have the time to get online.

Now you know why I need a 4GB microdrive.

I am back in Hong Kong. Will post more trip photos later.

Gamble

What will you do if you need a 4GB microdrive desperately while nowhere in Hong Kong is selling it yet?

I have bought a Creative Nomad 4GB MuVo2.

I guess no one tried this before.

Hard Drive by Hitachi!

It is just a matter of several screws.

Now I have a new 4GB microdrive!

It got format error message initially. It works fine after being formatted by the Sony DSC F-828.

Now I can take 1041 pictures with the new card.

Note:
It is in fact CHEAPER to buy this Nomad MP3 player than a 4GB microdirve.
Apple annouced a new 4GB ipod mini today, so I expect there will be a further price drop on this model.

I admit don't know the result before the surgery.

Voigtlander

Bessa-L + 15mm lens.

For my coming trip in mid Jan.

The camera is very plastic while the lens is good in workmanship.
I am happy with them for the price I paid.

Summons

What a good start!! This is the first thing I received in 2004.

Our stupid government sent me this.

After finding out I did have a permit entering the prohibited area, they are now cancelling the charge. Now you know how our tax money is being used.
